Let's take a look at flag pole heights and how much can be put on a flag pole, here are our recommendations 

4m , this pole requires a standard pole stake to stand and is suitable for one item , either one windsock or one 3ft x 2ft flag

5m , this pole can hold 1 windsock and one 5ft x 3ft flag

6m , this pole can hold 1 windsock and two flags

7m , this pole can hold 1 windsock and three flags

8m this pole can hold 1 windsock and four flags 

We recommend the same for 9m 10m and 12m , of course you can attach more , but factor in prevailing winds and also extra load if the items fitted are wet. 

 

All poles require a super pole stake to stand which is not included unless the pole/stake combo is purchased, except for the 12m pole that requires three super pole stakes or the 4m that only requires a standard pole stake . 

 

We supply all poles with a very detailed instruction sheet, if this is followed , you can enjoy your product for many events to come . Sadly some choose not to read the provided instructions , so if you end up with a load of separate pole sections or are trying to "fit" together pole sections , please purchase a dunce hat from ebay and go and stand in  a corner . If you're unsure how to reassemble , please give us a call and say " I'm a wally and didn't read the instructions, please can you help me"

 

To attach flags to your pole , which should not be sited at the very top of the pole ( this is for windsocks only)  should begin half way down the second section of the pole, and attached with flag bungees (not included with flag or pole) , cable ties, velcro tabs, wire or tape should not be used to attach flags

We carry Spirit of air poles , the market leading brand in the UK, we also carry Brookite poles as a lower cost alternative. Please use the correct ground stake to stand your poles, attaching to solid items like fences, walls or jockey wheels is not recommended and will result in breakage. Please choose the correct height of pole for your useage, as a guide, below we have listed roughly what can be fitted on each size of pole:

4m 1x windsock or 1 x 3x2 flag

5m 1x windsock plus 1x 5x3 flag

6m 1x windsock plus 2 x 5x3 flag

7m 1x windsock plus 3x 5x3 flag

and so on to a maximum of 4 to 5 flags and one windsock on the taller poles
